The Artist

Born in 1956, Enebeli’s  first foray into art was as a trainee under Bruce Onobrakpeya.  By 1985 , he had set up his own studio, building on his dexterity with etching to create a style that evolved from Onobrakpeya to a more open, accessible interpretation of Nigerian culture.
His main area of focus is the fast disappearing culture of the Ukwuani people where he comes from - their ancient marriage celebrations, festivals, rites and initiations.
