The Artist

Kofi Agorsor was born near Akatsi (Volta region), Ghana, in 1970. After two years of architectural studies at the Kpando Technical College, Agorsor discovered his true passion: painting, and subsequently enrolled at the Ankle College of Art in Accra.

Argosor’s works capture the vibrancy of daily life in Ghana – fishermen, women and men working – and Jazz bands. The leader of a jazz band himself, Argosor’s passion for music is evident in his repeated works on Jazz groups. The painter and musician lives and works in Accra.
