The Artist
Osawe was
born to be a sculptor,and his earliest memories
are of him moulding with mud at the bank
of River Niger.He later moved to England
where he schooled for ten years.He relocated
to Benin on his return and has so far produced
some of the best sculptures in Nigeria.His
sculptures are like stories told by the
wood itself,and have tales of enchantment.
