The Artist
His teaching
career spanned through various schools and
decades.It began in 1963 at the Yaba college
of Technology, moved to the University of
Ife where he started the Ori Olokun Workshop.From
there, he moved to Ahmadu Bello University,Zaria
where he rose to Head of Department of Fine
arts. He eventually moved to the University
of Benin where he rose to deputy Vice Chancellor.He
studied art as a skilled print maker. He
tapped from traditional African philosophies
and culture to produce lino prints that
are as relevant today as when they were
made.
